Cargo bikes reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 96%, emitting only 4.84 kg per 100 km compared to 17.08-28.84 kg for vans. They also eliminate nearly all CH₄, N₂O, and PM10 emissions, contributing to cleaner, healthier cities​.

By switching from diesel vans to cargo bikes, emissions of harmful gases like CO2, CH4, and N2O can be reduced by up to 99%, with a 100% reduction in NOx and particulate matter (PM10).
